TSA Cover-Up

Are you still walking through those airport scanners? Walk fast because those scanners may be more dangerous than you think. It seems the TSA has been hiding the truth from airline passengers and TSA employees. Newly released documents (obtained through the Freedom of Information Act) reveal that the Department of Homeland Security “publicly mischaracterized” the test results of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Homeland Security claimed that NIST had affirmed the safety of full body scanners. Unfortunately, NIST did not test the body scanners for safety.

NIST also warned that TSA screeners should not stand next to the scanners. It may be to late for some TSA workers. There is a growing list of cancer stricken TSA workers complaining about the safety of the scanners: http://bcove.me/ixcq7pe6 It’s not just TSA workers that are questioning the safety of the scanners.  A number of professionals in the medical field  also  question the safety of the body scanners: http://www.newsmax.com/Newsfront/TSA-body-scanners-safety/2011/06/10/id/399656 Once again, we are required to risk our health for the “privilege” of air travel. As for me, I will remain grounded.
